Affecting All Michigan Insurance Carriers

Changes to your Michigan Catastrophic Claims Association Assessment (M.C.C.A)

NOTE: The State of Michigan collects funds from your automobile policy to pay for large claims to individuals for expenses to cover medical bills, work loss and certain other expenses related to injuries. The MCCA charge was $14.41 plus tax ($15) per vehicle during your last policy term. The amount required by the State, effective on January 1, 2002, has increased to $71.15 plus tax ($73) per vehicle.

This premium is not collected for our insurance carriers but is passed directly to the State of Michigan.

AUTO & TRUCK
Daly-Merritt offers competitive stand-alone premiums and even more competitive packaged policies, where multiple policies are provided (e.g., multiple vehicles or vehicle(s) and homeowner's insurance.) Special discounts are also available for select groups, including senior citizens, safe drivers, as well as affinity groups such as MEA and AARP.

BOAT
With a history of insurance services in a waterfront community, (Wyandotte, Michigan), Daly-Merritt has strong markets and industry knowledge to deliver the competitive boat coverage options, ranging from the smallest personal watercraft to the largest specialty yacht.

JET SKI
Jet Ski coverage may be available from the most basic jet skis to the more high performance models. The Jet Ski coverage may be added to a Daly-Merritt homeowners policy, or may be available on a stand-alone basis, depending on underwriting.

MOTORCYCLE
Daly-Merritt has both "big bike" markets, (e.g., Harley Davidson), as well as coverage for most small to midsize bikes and off-road vehicles. In addition, Daly-Merritt policies may have the capability to cover various custom features and accessories for bike owners.

CAMPER/RV
Camper/RV policies may be available as either a rider to an auto policy, or as a stand-alone policy with one of our specialty insurance carriers. Additional savings opportunities may be had where a vehicle requires only partial coverage during periods of non-use. These valuable vehicles definitely deserve special insurance consideration as offered by Daly-Merritt.

SNOWMOBILE
Again, this coverage can either be added to a homeowners policy or can be applied for on a stand-alone basis, depending on underwriting. The coverage may also include high performance snowmobiles as well as the more basic models.

ANTIQUE AUTO
Daly-Merritt has a large selection of markets for antique auto and/or specialty automotive vehicles. Our pricing is among the most competitive in the area and our insurance carrier underwriters will take into consideration the unique attributes of your vehicle.
