Daly-Merritt is proud to offer our clients the services of a
division dedicated exclusively to our client needs in the Life and Benefits
area. As such, we maintain markets with some of the nation's top insurance
companies for the benefit of our clients. Benefits are available for business
owners and their employees (i.e., group plans), or for individuals and their
families (i.e., individual plans). Our premiums are clearly among the most
competitive available, as evidenced by this Division's steady and substantial
growth during the last two decades.
In addition, in the areas of Life Insurance, Long
Term Care, and Estate Planning, Daly-Merritt is proud to be the only independent
insurance agency in the State of Michigan that is able to provide the full
resources of not one, but two particular insurance carriers with the very
highest financial ratings. These key markets are important where only six
of over 1,400 insurance companies have earned the very highest financial ratings
from each of the major rating agencies, namely:
AM Best: A++
Standard and Poor's: AAA
Moodys: AAA
Duff and Phelps: AAA
This added level of financial security exclusive to
Daly-Merritt speaks volumes about our steadfast commitment to premier quality
insurance plans with competitive premiums for the benefit of our clients.
LIFE
Daly-Merritt offers both individual life insurance as well as
group life insurance for our many clients. Our individual life insurance
offerings include quality life insurance carriers, with among the most
competitive premiums in the nation. In addition, we offer at least four distinct
types of permanent insurance, with several policies guaranteeing premiums
for our client's lifetime. Individual life policies are also available in the
corporate market, including the availability of specialty corporate-owned
policies for Key-Person insurance.

HEALTH
Daly-Merritt is able to act as agent of record for group
health insurance for clients with existing group plans, who desire more
knowledgeable and local service. Daly-Merritt is proud to be an authorized agent
for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan Health Benefits Company; Health
Alliance Plan; SelectCare; PPOM; M-Care; OmniCare; as well as various other
group health insurance carriers and networks.
This extensive background in the group medical market can pay
immediate dividends to our clients in the form of lower premiums, a better
understanding of their existing group medical program, prompt and attentive
service, and other value-added programs for the benefit of both the business
owner and employees. In addition, individual health insurance is available on
both a temporary and a permanent basis. Importantly, many of our group carriers
have no medical questions during the underwriting process, allowing for a smooth
transition regardless of preexisting medical conditions.

DENTAL

DISABILITY
Daly-Merritt represents many of the top markets in this area,
and insures groups of all sizes. Group disability programs are available under both an

specifically designed for professionals and/or business owners. Individual
disability benefits can be designed to supplement income, with benefits as low

ESTATE & BUSINESS PLANNING
The Daly-Merritt Estate Planning process involves a personal
interview and fact gathering process with professionals and business owners with
estates near or exceeding $650,000 for an individual, or $1,300,000 for a
couple. We will work closely with your existing attorney
and/or accountant in designing a plan that will minimize estate taxes in the
most cost-effective methods possible. In addition, we have available certain
copyrighted documents that can assist your attorney in this area. We are often
recommended by attorneys because of our extensive agency and insurance company
resources.
Business owners appreciate the use of our insurance carriers
copyrighted documents to complement their attorneys' efforts in drafting plans
for the retention and benefit of long term dedicated key employees. These
plans allow a business owner or not-for-profit entity to allocate specific
annual contributions for the benefit of key employees. The employee is rewarded
if they remain until retirement, but would forfeit all benefits if they
depart the organization prematurely. Daly-Merritt Business Planning combines our
superior quality insurance carrier resources with our extensive industry
experience. Our network of planners can assist business owners in designing
plans to enhance the long-term value of their business.

LONG TERM CARE
Because we represent as least five quality Long Term Care
insurance carriers, and because two of these five carriers have the very highest
financial ratings in the industry, this is another area where Daly Merritt, Inc.
offers our clients greater value. Our sophisticated Long Term Care quotation
system allows us to quote over 120 different plan options for each clients'
consideration, and our industry background and consulting process will then help
our client to "narrow the field" to the insurance company and plan
design that best fits their needs. Importantly, Daly Merritt, Inc. offers both
qualified Long Term Care plans and nonqualified Long Term Care
plans, and we can explain the benefits of each approach.
