CAM Workers' Compensation Program (CAM-COMP)

CAM-COMP is a group self-insured workers' compensation program designed for and operated by the construction industry. Premiums not needed to pay claims, along with investment income, are returned to the CAM-COMP participant.

In 2008, CAM-COMP provided Workers' Compensation Group Self Insurance to 350 contractor employers, and their annual collected premium was six million dollars. Loss ratios continued to be very favorable, and resulted in substantial premium refunds to the CAM-COMP membership equaling 45 million dollars, a 30% average return per year.

CAM-COMP provides superior services to its membership, which in turn reduces both workers' comp claims and loss ratios. Services include: expert claims consultants who provide aggressive "Fair But Firm" claims handling to include licensed detectives, workers' comp defense attorneys, and immediate licensed nurse assistance to the injured.
