Meet the Owners

James P. Daly, CIC, LIC

Jim Daly, Executive Sales Consultant of Daly Merritt, Inc., graduated from Western Michigan University in 1978 with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing. He joined the Company shortly thereafter where he has served the insurance needs of numerous clients throughout the Midwest up to the present time. Jim's expertise lies primarily in environmental, transportation and manufacturing exposures. He is married with three children.

Martin F. Daly, CIC, CPCU

Marty Daly, President and CEO of Daly Merritt, Inc., graduated from Western Michigan University in 1984 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. He serves a variety of clients in numerous fields but his efforts are concentrated in managing insurance programs for large not-for-profit Agencies throughout the United States. Marty represents over 100 non-profit organizations throughout Michigan. He is married and has three children.

John L. Daly, J.D., LIC

John Daly, Executive Vice President of the Life and Benefits Division of Daly Merritt, Inc. is a licensed attorney who joined the Company in 1987. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 1997. John specializes in large group benefit and retirement plans as well as all aspects of individual estate planning. He is married and has four children.

Joseph S. Daly, J.D.

Joe Daly is General Counsel for the Company. He joined Daly Merritt, Inc. in 1988 and has also been employed as the Assistant Dean for the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law since 1984. He is a licensed real estate broker and is also President of Daly Merritt Properties, Inc. and Manager of DM Investments, LLC, which is currently the second largest property tax payer in the City of Wyandotte. Joe has been a member of the Monroe Bank and Trust Board of Directors since 2003. He is married with five children.

The owners are involved in numerous local charitable events and organizations and pride themselves in maintaining a very high level of dedication toward numerous philanthropic causes.
